LOCATION: Guesthouse 1×6, Keflavík, S-Iceland
PROJECT: The creation of an artist´s and caretaker´s studio residence, next to Guesthouse 1×6
DATE: 2010
To accommodate the caretaker, a garage next to the Guesthouse 1×6 was converted in a similar fashion to the guesthouse itself. The interior design of the bedroom features all manner of regenerated timber, parts of old furniture and reclaimed laboratory cupboards. The ceiling acts as a gallery and the bathroom sports a novel toilet detail. Some of the furniture is custom-made, including the x-large wooden blinds.
