Ávaxtakarfan or ´Fruityland´ is a series of childrens tales taking place within a ´fruity´environment filled with fruit inspired characters. Their interactions promote friendship, respect and how to resolve problems successfully within a small society. Originally the script was devised for a theatre production but now a series with eleven of 11 programs in addition to a television style movie were produced.
As an extension of our work within the context of playgrounds and the use of recycled materials, we created this entire world out of old pallets, coffee-bean bags and reclaimed wood ,to name but a few elements. This resulting background world functioned well with brightly coloured costumes, creating a product that was met with a great deal of joy from children of all ages. Ávaxtakarfan is the only Film Project done by the Krukka collective.
